Numbers 8 and 9 in business

Saturn and Mars

A spiral of digits drawn in blue and gold ink on cream paper

Adverse

8 and 9 oppose each other both ways, so the pair grades Adverse. Structure against force; the 9 pushes and the 8 resists, and practitioners read the pair as friction over pace in every trade, because Shani slows what Mangala hurries. It is not on the refusal list, so it reads as a serious caution rather than a block.

  • 8 regards 9: opposed
  • 9 regards 8: opposed
  • Pair grade: Adverse (A)
  • Two founders on these Origin and Master numbers: composite -10, Adverse

As co-founders

As co-founders, the 8 regards the 9 as opposed and the 9 regards the 8 as opposed, which grades the pair Adverse. Practitioners give the 8 administration, production, supply chain, banking, compliance and the 9 consulting, advisory, execution; the pair works while each keeps to that side of the room.

Roles: 8 takes administration, production, supply chain, banking, compliance; 9 takes consulting, advisory, execution.

As name and founder

A business name totalling to 8 for a founder whose Origin and Master numbers are 9 reads Clash; the reverse, a 9 name for an 8 founder, reads Clash. Where the reading is Clash, practitioners move the name to a digit both befriend, usually 5, since a name is the cheapest thing to change.

A 8 name for a 9 founder reads Clash; A 9 name for a 8 founder reads Clash.

As phone digits

In a phone number the digits 89 reads opposed, one of the pairs a line is respelled to avoid; reversed, 98 carries no reading. Phone Line reads all nine pairs together, since one pair never decides a line.

89 reads opposed; 98 reads no reading.

What to do about it

Separate completely: the 8 on production, compliance and the ledger, the 9 on execution and manpower, and a 5 whom both befriend as the third voice. Put the name on a 5 compound.

Sectors that favour both: Education and EdTech, Consulting and professional services, Healthcare, pharma and wellness, Manufacturing and industrial, Automobile, Legal services, Security and defence.
