How it works

Each Latin letter of your name takes the value of a Greek letter: A is alpha (1), R is rho (100), W is omega (800). These values are OccultMaster's Latin-to-Greek table, not a reading of a name written in Greek script. The values are added and the total is reduced to one digit.

Questions

Is this the same as writing my name in Greek?

No. Your name is read in the Latin alphabet and each letter borrows a Greek value. A name spelt in Greek letters can give a different total.

Why is the total so large?

Greek letter values run up to 800, so most names add up to hundreds. The root, the total reduced to one digit, is the number to read and to compare with other systems.
