Your details

The TLD, www and any path are dropped and the label is counted like a name. Add the brand name and the tool says whether the two sit on the same compound, the same digit, the same family, or apart.

In brief

The domain's label totalled on the Chaldean table, scored, and compared with the brand name and the owner.

How to use: fill in Domain or URL, Brand name (optional, to compare), Owner's date of birth (optional), Sector (optional), Letter system, then press the button.

How it works

The scheme, www, any path and the extension (.com, .in) are dropped, and the label left is counted like a name: letters on the Chaldean table, digits at face value. The total is scored with the Name Score formula. Add the brand name and the two totals are compared; a hyphenated label is also totalled without its hyphens.

A brand on 23 and a domain on 18 pull in different directions on every business card. The fix is usually a hyphen or a suffix, once the totals are seen.

How this calculator works

  • R-LABEL Scheme, www, path and TLD stripped; the second-level label is counted.
  • R-HYPHEN Hyphens are ignored; where a domain has one, both totals are shown.
  • R-COMPARE Same compound as the brand is the cleanest alignment; same digit next; same family next; a different family is workable when the brand leads.
  • R-SCORE The label is scored with the Name Score formula, founder and sector fit included when supplied.

Not what this tells you. Availability, trademark and how the domain reads aloud are outside this reading.

The reason

Practitioners agree the extension is not counted and that digits count at face value; hyphens are unaddressed, so both totals are shown. The domain follows the brand, never the other way round; practitioners warn against forcing every asset onto one number.

Questions

Does .com or .in change the number?

No. Extensions are not counted by any practitioner source found.

My domain has digits, do they count?

Yes, at face value, and the ledger flags it.

Should the domain match the brand exactly?

Same compound is ideal, same digit is good. A different family is acceptable when the brand name is the stronger of the two.

What about the domain's purchase date?

Some Western practitioners read it as a birth date for the domain. It is not part of this reading.
