Respellings within two edits that move a name toward a better number, and a check of a spelling you have in mind.
How to use: fill in Current name or spelling, Proposed spelling (optional), Date of birth (optional), Target number (optional), Want growth, then press the button.
How it works
Most name corrections are one letter. A doubled vowel or a trailing H moves a 35 to a 41 without changing how the name sounds.
How this calculator works
- R-EDITS Double a vowel, double a consonant, add H, S or Y at the end or after the first vowel, add a leading or trailing vowel, drop a doubled letter. At most two edits; never three identical letters in a row; at most 60 variants.
- R-SCORE Every variant is scored with the Name Score formula; only variants scoring above the current spelling are shown.
- R-ORDER Fewest edits at equal score; doubling and H, S, Y edits before trailing vowels, and those before leading vowels; target digits first when qualities are ticked.
- R-GATE Stability targets 8 and 4 apply only where the sector lifts them.
Not what this tells you. A variant is a spelling that scores higher. Whether it reads well, is available as a domain and survives a trademark search is yours to check.
The reason
Practitioners correct names by adding, dropping or doubling letters rather than by inventing words; the classical compounds decide which total is worth reaching. The qualities map to digits the tradition attaches to them: growth 5 and 3, stability 8 and 4 (sector-gated), wealth 6 and 8, authority 1, trust 2 and 6, speed 5 and 1.

Respelling check
Two spellings side by side. The letters that change are highlighted, both compounds are read, and the verdict says whether the proposal improves, worsens or leaves the score where it is.
A rename that moves a name from 23 to 24 spends the goodwill of the old name for a weaker compound. The check costs nothing and shows the arithmetic.
How this calculator works
- R-DIFF Characters removed are struck through, characters inserted are highlighted.
- R-VERDICT Improves when the proposed score is higher, Worsens when lower, Neutral when equal.
- R-SMALLEST The one-edit variant with the highest score is offered as the smallest sufficient change.
- R-ACTIVATE Signage, email and social handles first, where the name is read; a legal filing is not required.
Not what this tells you. The check reads the numbers. Whether customers will follow a respelling is a brand question numerology does not answer.
The reason
Both spellings are scored with the Name Score formula on the same founder and sector; the verdict compares the two scores. The smallest sufficient edit comes from the variants generator constrained to one edit.

Questions
Will the tool invent a new name?
No. It only respells the name you give within two edits.
How long before a respelling takes effect?
Practitioners hold a new spelling for 180 days on signage, invoices and handles before judging it.
Why is stability not moving my variants?
Because 8 and 4 are cautioned as name digits outside the sectors that favour them; the gate keeps the tool honest.
Do I need to change the registered name?
No. Practitioners activate a spelling on the assets people see: signboard, invoices, handles.
What if the proposed spelling worsens the score?
Keep the current one, or take the smallest sufficient edit the tool offers.
Can I compare more than two?
Name Score ranks up to five at once.
