Numbers 7 and 8 in business

Ketu and Saturn

A golden-ratio spiral with digits around a star

Workable · contested

7 reads 8 as neutral and 8 reads 7 as a friend, so the pair is workable, and practitioners mark it contested. Depth and structure; some read it as the finance-and-research firm, others as two slow numbers with nothing to sell, because neither planet faces outward.

  • 7 regards 8: neutral
  • 8 regards 7: friend
  • Pair grade: Workable (W)
  • Two founders on these Origin and Master numbers: composite +5, Workable

Contested. Some practitioners refuse this pair and others allow it. It is shown as a caution, not a block; the four directions above decide the reading here.

As co-founders

As co-founders, the 7 regards the 8 as neutral and the 8 regards the 7 as friend, which grades the pair Workable. Practitioners give the 7 finance, records, research, planning, HR and the 8 administration, production, supply chain, banking, compliance; the pair works while each keeps to that side of the room. Practitioners are split on the pair, so it is a caution rather than a block.

Roles: 7 takes finance, records, research, planning, HR; 8 takes administration, production, supply chain, banking, compliance.

As name and founder

A business name totalling to 7 for a founder whose Origin and Master numbers are 8 reads Strong; the reverse, an 8 name for a 7 founder, reads Strong. Both directions support each other, so either digit can carry the letterhead for the other.

A 7 name for a 8 founder reads Strong; A 8 name for a 7 founder reads Strong.

As phone digits

In a phone number the digits 78 and 87 both read opposed, pairs a line is respelled to avoid. Phone Line reads all nine pairs together, since one pair never decides a line.

78 reads opposed; 87 reads opposed.

What to do about it

The 8 on administration and production, the 7 on research and planning. Bring in a 5 whom both befriend for reach. Legal and consulting favour the 8; SaaS and consulting favour the 7.

Sectors that favour both: Import, export and trading, Education and EdTech, Consulting and professional services, Healthcare, pharma and wellness, Logistics and transport, Agriculture and agri-business, Security and defence.
