Mercury and Saturn

Aligned

5 and 8 befriend each other, and practitioners call the pairing the standout business-brain combination: Mercury's reach with Saturn's discipline. The 5 brings in the trade and the 8 makes it last, because one planet moves and the other holds.

  • 5 regards 8: friend
  • 8 regards 5: friend
  • Pair grade: Aligned (F)
  • Two founders on these Origin and Master numbers: composite +10, Aligned

As co-founders

As co-founders, the 5 regards the 8 as friend and the 8 regards the 5 as friend, which grades the pair Aligned. Practitioners give the 5 marketing, communication, customer presentation (finance with an 8) and the 8 administration, production, supply chain, banking, compliance; the pair works while each keeps to that side of the room.

Roles: 5 takes marketing, communication, customer presentation (finance with an 8); 8 takes administration, production, supply chain, banking, compliance.

As name and founder

A business name totalling to 5 for a founder whose Origin and Master numbers are 8 reads Strong; the reverse, an 8 name for a 5 founder, reads Strong. Both directions support each other, so either digit can carry the letterhead for the other.

A 5 name for a 8 founder reads Strong; A 8 name for a 5 founder reads Strong.

As phone digits

In a phone number the digits 58 and 85 both read opposed, pairs a line is respelled to avoid. Phone Line reads all nine pairs together, since one pair never decides a line.

58 reads opposed; 85 reads opposed.

What to do about it

The 5 on market and communication, the 8 on administration, production and the ledger. Real estate, finance and telecom favour both. Keep 1, 2, 4 and 9 off the partnership for the 8's sake, and take a 3, 6 or 7 for the third seat. Put the name on 23 or 41.

Sectors that favour both: Real estate and property, Import, export and trading, Finance, lending and insurance, Logistics and transport, Agriculture and agri-business, Textiles and apparel, Telecom and communications.
