Numbers 1 and 5 in business

The Sun and Mercury

The Lo Shu square traced in a golden thread

Aligned

1 and 5 befriend each other. The Sun leads and Budha, Mercury, sells, moves and connects; practitioners read the pair as fast, wide and rarely stuck, because neither number waits. The one caution is that two fast founders can run past the ledger.

  • 1 regards 5: friend
  • 5 regards 1: friend
  • Pair grade: Aligned (F)
  • Two founders on these Origin and Master numbers: composite +10, Aligned

As co-founders

As co-founders, the 1 regards the 5 as friend and the 5 regards the 1 as friend, which grades the pair Aligned. Practitioners give the 1 leadership, public face, final authority and the 5 marketing, communication, customer presentation (finance with an 8); the pair works while each keeps to that side of the room.

Roles: 1 takes leadership, public face, final authority; 5 takes marketing, communication, customer presentation (finance with an 8).

As name and founder

A business name totalling to 1 for a founder whose Origin and Master numbers are 5 reads Strong; the reverse, a 5 name for a 1 founder, reads Strong. Both directions support each other, so either digit can carry the letterhead for the other.

A 1 name for a 5 founder reads Strong; A 5 name for a 1 founder reads Strong.

As phone digits

In a phone number the digits 15 and 51 both read favourable, sequences practitioners like to see in a business line. Phone Line reads all nine pairs together, since one pair never decides a line.

15 reads favourable; 51 reads favourable.

What to do about it

Put the 1 on decisions and the 5 on market and communication. A name on 23 or 41 serves both. If the cash cycle grows lumpy, add an 8 or a 4 for structure rather than slowing either founder down, since Saturn and Rahu hold what the Sun and Mercury move.

Sectors that favour both: Technology and IT, Finance, lending and insurance, Travel and hospitality, Luxury, jewellery and fashion, Telecom and communications.
