Numbers 1 and 1 in business

Two Suns in one sky

The Lo Shu square traced in a golden thread

Mixed

Two 1s read each other as neutral: neither befriends the other and neither opposes. In practice two Suns compete for the same seat, because the Sun's nature is to be the centre. Practitioners read the pair as workable only when the two hold clearly different rooms. Each brings speed and authority; neither brings the patience to be second.

  • Two founders on these Origin and Master numbers: composite +0, Mixed

As co-founders

Two founders who are both 1s read each other as neutral. Sun doubled gives twice the same strength and no counterweight, so the roles practitioners give a 1 (leadership, public face, final authority) are split by domain, because both partners want the same seat.

Roles: 1 takes leadership, public face, final authority; 1 takes leadership, public face, final authority.

As name and founder

A business name totalling to 1 for a founder whose Origin and Master numbers are 1 reads Neutral; the reverse, a 1 name for a 1 founder, reads Neutral. Neutral is silence rather than opposition; the compound the name sits on decides the rest.

A 1 name for a 1 founder reads Neutral; A 1 name for a 1 founder reads Neutral.

As phone digits

In a phone number the doubled digit 11 reads favourable, a sequence practitioners like to see in a business line; the repeat rule also caps any digit at two appearances. Phone Line reads all nine pairs together, since one pair never decides a line.

11 reads favourable.

What to do about it

Split the company by function before the first disagreement: one 1 owns product, the other owns market, with a written rule for decisions that cross the line. Add a 5 or a 2, whom both befriend, to hold the calendar, since a third voice stops two centres from colliding.

Sectors that favour both: Construction and infrastructure, Technology and IT, Finance, lending and insurance, Travel and hospitality, Restaurants and food service, Manufacturing and industrial, Energy and electricals, Luxury, jewellery and fashion, Telecom and communications.
