Frequently asked questions

Where do the definitions come from?

The classical Chaldean text for the letter values and the compound readings, the Navagraha for the planets, and the practitioner tradition for the friendship and sector tables. Where practitioners disagree — on 8, on master numbers, on the Lo Shu fill — the glossary gives both readings rather than choosing one quietly.

Is there a Sanskrit list?

Mulank for the Origin number, bhagyank for the Master number and naamank for the name number, each given beside its English term. The Sanskrit is the older name, not a different concept: a mulank and an Origin number are the same arithmetic on the same date.

Can I suggest a term?

Yes, through the contact page. A term is added when it appears in a named source rather than because it is in common use, so please include where you met it.
