The Origin number
The day of birth reduced: 14 becomes 5, 22 becomes 4. Practitioners call it the mulank or psychic number and read it as the founder's day-to-day nature.
The Master number (life-path number)
All eight digits of DD-MM-YYYY summed once and reduced. The bhagyank or destiny number; read as the direction of the years.
A worked example
This part is worked out by the calculators: open the calculator.
Reading them together
A name is read against both; a partner's numbers are read against both; a launch date is blocked if it opposes either. Where the Origin and Master numbers disagree about a name, the calculator reports Supported by one.
The master numbers 11, 22 and 33
Under the single mode used by default, 11 and 22 reduce to 2 and 4. Under the master modes they are kept; the Core Numbers calculator shows the difference.
